Peggy's Pizza: Part 17 of 2023

Submitted by Bethany on Mon, 05/15/2023 - 10:27

We spent more time planting flowers this week. Three years ago our neighbors constructed a teepee and planted grapes. They never got any grapes because the deer ate them. When they moved a year and a half ago, we inherited the teepee.

We finally got something planted around it this week. I love old-fashioned climbing roses. And, I just happened to be at the Home Depot Garden Center where I found purple and red climbing roses. I decided on red. A big thank you to my ‘gardener’ (my hubby) for getting them planted! I am excited for them to start climbing.

On Saturday Matthew helped me get my pots planted with Moss Roses and Impatiens. We had some excitement when we discovered an ant infestation in one of my strawberry pots. After a little ‘Raid’, we finished them up just in time for a nice rain.

We did find time to be in the kitchen…

Tuesday in the Kitchen with Matthew: This guy is a ‘Master Griller’…Bacon wrapped London Broil, baked potatoes and salad.

Friday Pieday: Pizza alla Marinara…a Neopolitan crust topped only with tomato sauce, fresh oregano, sliced garlic and a drizzle of olive oil. It is supposedly the most ancient tomato-topped pizza.

Saturday in the Kitchen with Matthew: Sweet Salsa Pork Street Tacos with refried beans.

Sunday’s Creation: Turkey Bacon Ranch Pizza…pan crust topped with Parmesan ranch, grated Parmesan, shredded mozzarella, roasted turkey, bacon, black olives, red onion and fresh mozzarella.

Till next week!
