Well I gotta say it feels weird not to weigh in this week. I know some weeks on this journey I have skipped weighing in, always when I knew I wouldn't like what the scale had to say. Now I'm pretty sure I would like what the scales has to say but I don't get to know! Oh well, two weeks from now we'll be in Wales and either they will have a scale or we will find one!

I feel like I've really stayed on track health wise this week. We've been eating a lot of fresh tomatoes from the garden outside, and a neighbor brought us some greens and peaches from her garden. We've also splurged calorie-wise on some frozen pizzas and chocolate...but in moderation! We take walks daily and I just love the weather here right now.

The big thing we've added this week is daily yoga! I downloaded an app ages ago, before we left the US, that a friend recommended. Both of our backs were feeling sore this week so we finally gave the app a try and it is fantastic! If you have any inclination at all to try yoga it's a great app to start with, and if you are practically an expert it has stuff for you too! The instruction is clear, the videos are easy follow, and the music is great. I cannot recommend it enough - the name is Down Dog.

Practicing yoga has made realize I've lost a lot of my flexibility! Ack! That used to be something I prided myself on when I was dancing, and I've managed to keep it up pretty well all these years even when I wasn't big on cardio or strength training. This past spring I had some real troubles with my back and I think from that my flexibility decreased - I really feel it in my hamstrings. So I am excited to keep this yoga kick going and get my flexibility back!

This next week I want to continue daily yoga, take at least 3 long walks, and keep eating well. Plus we plan to rent a paddleboat on the lake one day- that should be some good exercise! I'm really motivated to get a good number on the scale the next time I do get to weigh in.

XOXO, Bethany
