March started with one of my favorite things I get to do for work - a wedding! The weather was absolutely gorgeous and the couple had so many fun Welsh touches to their day, from daffodil decor to a Gavin & Stacey reference in the program. After worship, we set up for our cafe church service for the next day.

The Greens came down for church on the 2nd, which was all about celebrating St. David, the patron saint of Wales. We gave out daffodils, made paper leeks, and I even bought fresh welsh cakes from my favorite cafe in town. I am really enjoying getting to be creative with worship once a month!

On Tuesday the 4th, it was Pancake Day! We celebrated with fresh blueberry pancakes and breaking into the Maple Syrup we brought back with us from Canada last year.

Friday the 7th was the World Day of Prayer, brought to us by the Cook Islands this year. Someone made some gorgeous flower crowns for those of us who were leading this service. I wish I could have kept mine!

An impulsive trip to Aldi had me discovering some clear organizers in the middle aisle, which set me off on organizing every single drawer in our house. It’s not that they weren’t organized before this, but they weren’t perfectly contained. Now every drawer is organized to perfection and it literally brings me a rush of joy every time I open one! (This is one of those small things we reference in the blog title!) I also went full “sort your life out” on my office - pulling absolutely everything out of it and not putting it back in until things were tossed, sorted, and organized. It feels so much better!

After too long of a wait, my Blu-Ray copy of Wicked finally arrived! (Americans got theirs earlier, no fair.) I immediately made Joel watch it again. We still need to go back and watch the sing-a-long version and all of the special features!
On Friday the 14th we took a little road trip up to Worcester so I could go shopping at Lottie’s Eco. I decided after five years of only owning one clergy top, it was high time to get some more! After shopping we stopped at a lovely cafe that had eclectic decor, a burning fire on a cold day, and the best part - a cafe dog.

We also stopped in Gloucester to shop at Joel’s new favorite game store - Full Fire. It’s right along the docks in Gloucester so it’s a lovely place to visit, though parking is a bit of pain. Then we went to Amy & Ben’s for games that night - it was a very full day!

On Wednesday the 19th it was time for Presbyteral Synod in Abergavenny! I always enjoy this time to connect with colleagues and worship together.

Come Friday the 21st, it was time for a Frolic Friday with Steve! We had tickets for “Wake the Tiger” in Bristol, which is like an interactive art exhibit. Little did we know it was mushroom themed, which, if you know Steve, is perfect. The fun started outside with a literal car sunk into the ground.

Then we walked through a portal…

Into a whole 'nother world!

There were secret doors and passageways and it took us hours to make sure we had explored everything. I’m pretty sure we covered all it had to offer!

The next Monday it was time once again for the Easter Experience in Monmouth. I love doing this every year.

The rest of the month was fairly uneventful - or at least I didn’t take many photographs! We spent a lot of time spring cleaning (still not done yet), I spent a lot of time reading (I’m behind on several book boxes) and we spent more time playing Magic (with both Amy & Ben and checking out other groups in Newport.) And of course, spring kept springing all around!

They say April showers bring May flowers but things start blooming in March around these parts. I love it every year!
XOXO, Bethany
