Peggy's Pizza: Part 14 of 2023

I haven’t blogged for a month now because we were on vacation for 22 days. We did a Viking Grand European River Cruise. Although we visited some amazing places, the highlight of our trip was seeing our daughter, Bethany Willers. She joined us In Amsterdam for the last 48 hours of our trip. After not seeing her for a year, it made my heart full to wrap my arms around her.

I am slowly getting back into a routine. I spent the first week catching up on sleep and laundry.

We haven’t done much cooking. Instead we have been eating leftovers out of the freezer. I did manage to make some pizzas, so here is a recap.

Back in the Kitchen with Sunday’s Creation: Hot Italian Sausage, Pepperoni & Giardiniera Pizza…pan crust topped with spicy red sauce, Parmesan, mozzarella, hot Italian sausage, Giardiniera, more mozzarella and Cup n Crisp pepperoni.

Friday Pieday: Pizza Capricciosa, a classic Italian pizza…a thin crust topped with tomato sauce, Parmesan, shredded mozzarella, cremini mushrooms, marinated artichoke hearts, Kalamata olives, prosciutto and fresh mozzarella.

Sunday’s Creation: Steak & Onion Pizza…our pan crust stretched thin then brushed with the marinade of Coke-Italian dressing-soy sauce-garlic-salt & pepper and topped with provolone cheese, smoked mozzarella, marinated shaved rib eye steak, caramelized onions and Gorgonzola.

We did have a surprise from our sweet neighbors on Sunday evening...marking the end of the Muslim holy fasting month of Ramadan!
