Today we went to Ames first thing in the morning so Joel could spend some time on campus getting thesis stuff done. We are so close to the end of that tunnel...but I won't relax until that diploma is in hand! After Ames, we went down to Des Moines to see my parents. My mom asked us to bring our whole leggings collection so we did, and she bought 5 more pairs!
After shopping, we went upstairs and coordinated some new outfits for her leggings. And if you know my mom, you know it isn't an outfit without some jewelry, so then we started going through her whole jewelry collection. It's pretty epic.
She likes to remind that someday all of this will be mine. Of course, that doesn't stop me from trying to convince her that some of those pieces should be mine sooner rather than later. Like this beauty I discovered today.
Unfortunately, that one did not get to go home with me today. However, it was still a lot of fun.
And now we are settling in for a weekend of bingeing Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It's leaving Netflix next weekend so we have to finish it all! We are currently in mid-season 5 of 7 seasons, wish us luck!
