I have been looking forward to this movie ever since I first saw a preview. The story is so original, and made extra fun because it is based on a true story!
Tag follows the story of five friends who have been playing the same game of tag every May for thirty years. One friend, Jerry, has never been tagged for the entire length of the game. This year the other four friends in the game team up, determined to finally take Jerry down. The hijinks are hilarious, ridiculous and over the top. I would love to see a behind the scenes breakdown of which tag scenarios were exaggerated for comedic effect and which ones were actually pretty close to the truth.
What I really loved about this movie, was that not only is it truly funny, it has a lot of heart as well. Much more than I expected really. I laughed out loud multiple times, I cried, this movie really drew me in and made me feel things. All signs of an excellent movie.
If you want to have a good laugh, and see something that makes you want to call your best friends for the first time in a while, this one is for you. I highly recommend it.
