Yeah, it's a dumb movie based on an old video game that many people might not have even heard of... but it sure was a fun movie. The bad guys are bad. The good guys are good... and still learn something. There were funny jokes, good emotion, and lots of action. Rampage is another great Rock movie that entertains. If you liked Jumanji, you'll probably like this one, too. There is some vulgar humor, though, so be ready to explain things like 'the finger' if you take your kids with you.
Rampage tells the story of a genetically modifying disease gone wrong. It infects a wolf, a crocodile, and a gorilla. They all get huge and become immune to most damage inflicted on them by the military. They start destroying poor Chicago (AGAIN?!) until our heroes come save the day. And here's another where you should SKIP THE TRAILER! It just tells too much of the movie, which doesn't have very many plot devices in the first place.
I enjoyed this movie even though we saw the first half and then the power went out in the theater. We decided to come back the next day to watch it where we left off instead of waiting it out. Still, it sure was a fun ride. Yeah, The Rock is basically indestructible in the movie. He gets tossed around and gets some minor scrapes. Still, they aren't too afraid to kill characters off in this movie, so there was still some good tension. This was a great popcorn movie that should entertain most people. I say go see it!
