I did not want to see this movie.  However, we promised ourselves and the tens of readers of our reviews that we would review every movie that came to our theater.  So off we went!

I'm not going to sugar coat it, this movie is Terrible.  That's right, Terrible with a capital T.  It has basically no redeeming value.  The storyline is predictable, the jokes are extremely juvenile (even for a kid's movie), and it is just boring.  I tend to like kid's movies, ones that are well done like Peter Rabbit. Now that's a talking animal movie with heart, humor, and a purpose.  This one is basically the opposite of that.

If you want the gist of the story, here it is.  Max is a police dog with the NYPD, who comes up against Frank, an FBI agent, as they both attempt to shut down an international smuggling ring that, most recently, has stolen an adorable baby panda.  (Not gonna lie, the CGI panda was the one redeeming quality of the movie, it made me "awww" every time).  The two team up and head to Vegas to infiltrate an elite dog show where the sale of black market animals is taking place.

Look, I'm gonna save you some time.  Don't go see this movie.  Even if you have MoviePass, it is not worth it.  There are too many other good movies that deserve your time and monetary support.
