Maybe I'm too much of a kid to speak for adults, but I think this movie was great for all ages! I love it when kid movies have stuff for both kids and adults in it. Unlike other kids movies that have obvious jokes, this movie had good humor for kids, good simple humor for kids at heart, and good humor for adults. PLUS it had some of the feels in it, too! If you like a feel-good kids movie that doesn't take itself too seriously, you'll like this movie!
Peter Rabbit follows the tale of a bunch of wildlife that populate the area of Old McGregor's farm. Peter and his siblings, Mopsy, Flopsy, and Cottontail, have lost their parents and are doing their best to make it on their own. Old Mr. McGregor has a garden that they like to feed in, but he tries to keep them out. Sadly, he goes off to the garden in the sky, which allows the critters in the area to feast on his vegetables. Soon, though, his heir comes to take over, and he might even be WORSE than the other McGregor! Luckily, the neighbor is on their side and often comes to their rescue when in trouble. They really like her, but the new McGregor has eyes for her. Can they all just get along?
This movie has everything! Fighting, revenge, chases, escapes, true love! It even has EXPLOSIONS for those that need that sort of thing to enjoy a movie (I'm looking at you, Michael Bay!) And the music was just awesome, too! They made a Peter Rabbit version of "Steal My Sunshine" from Len! In all, it's a great adaptation of the beloved children's book. And I must say that it's one of my favorite kid movies. When I have kids, I will love watching this with them.
