Fans of musicals will enjoy this movie. The songs are well done, the singing is mostly good, the choreography is great, and the story is decent. All in all, this is a pretty good movie. Really, my only issue is some of the computer effects were too obvious. Other than that, I laughed, I teared up, I enjoyed the singing and dancing, and just enjoyed this movie.

The Greatest Showman follows the life story of PT Barnum and family. Obviously, this is very much a fictionalized story of a real person. Barnum does everything he can to give his family the life he feels they deserve. He runs a museum but then turns to live shows. These shows are a hit, but Barnum struggles with protests from people that dislike the 'freaks' he employs. He also wants to break into high society entertainment, which causes conflict.

I really enjoyed this movie. I'm not a sucker for musicals, but I do like several, like Moulin Rouge and Down with Love. This musical had studio recordings of the songs, so they were highly produced, but I still really liked them. I'm not a fan of most show tunes, but these could really stand on their own. I was also impressed that many of the dance numbers didn't have lots of cuts and edits in them, which I always find jarring. All in all, this was an enjoyable movie with a good story, good music and dancing, and just a great show.
