I'm a sucker for a good superhero movie and this did NOT disappoint. Great action, great characters, and a great movie. It did have less campy comedy (which I prefer just a little cheese, so this made me happy). If you liked the other MCU movies, you'll probably like this one. And I think it's one of the better titles in the MCU. But that's not to say it wasn't without problems.
Black Panther tells the story of T'Challa who is about to be crowned king of Wakanda. An enemy of the state comes out of the woodwork, so the Black Panther pounces. Things become difficult, though, when a new claim to the throne makes his identity known. There is also conflict among the people as to whether Wakanda should remain secretive or become involved in world affairs. Tradition is to remain isolated, but do they have a responsibility to share their technology with the world?
I really enjoyed the movie. There were a few problems, I thought, like... here is the most civilized country in the world. And they have a system of government based on who is the best warrior? That is rather unbelievable. It's cool that they make the country be so sophisticated and advanced, but they really fight to be king? Still, it's a great movie and should be enjoyed by most everyone.
