Small Steps to Big Changes: Week 14

Submitted by Bethany on Sun, 04/14/2019 - 10:00

Reading: 30/52 (+2 for the week) This week I finished a memoir from a Brit who moved to Denmark (I think I might review this one) and a mystery novel that reminded me of Rear Window. Both were excellent!

Language: 23270 XP (+0) I'm not sure what my mental block is on this now, especially since we are in France...but I still haven't been working on my French.

Weight Loss:

Starting Weight: 266
Current Weight: 225
Weekly Change: -1.25
Total Change: -41
First Goal Weight: 180
Pounds to lose until goal: 45

I have officially lost over 40 pounds since starting this blog feature! My highest ever recorded weight (sometime back in 2015 before moving to Fort Dodge) was 281, so if I count from there I've now lost 56 pounds total.

I'm proud of the downward movement on the scale this week especially because we received a care package from a friend with some American goodies from back home. And no, it wasn't fruits and vegetables. I've had chili, almost 2 full bags of Fritos, Reese's peanut butter cups this week...but I still managed to lose! I made sure to move extra and the intermittent fasting definitely helps as well.

I have decided that for the next month I want to go full speed ahead on losing as much weight as I can. We are a little bored here in our country house in France, so it's the perfect time to make really working out a priority. We have bikes to ride, plenty of gorgeous places to walk, and endless YouTube fitness videos we can use (when the internet is working.)

Sometime towards the end of May, we will be heading back to the USA for a little over a month to visit family and friends, and that will naturally come with more food and less time to work out. So I want to get to as good of a pace as I can before we get back, so I can be a little more relaxed while we are there.  So between now and May 14th, I want to see how much I can lose!
