Losing the Weight, Finding Myself: Week 45

Weight/Measurements: Unknown

Somehow we have made it to our very last week in Wales. We leave for Scotland on Friday! It's hard to believe how fast these 10 weeks have gone by, and we definitely haven't made the progress we wanted to/thought we would in the weight loss department. (Story of our lives, right?)

We have made some good changes when it comes to exercise though, holding ourselves accountable to daily movement and reaching goals. Some days it's really annoying when I don't feel like getting up off the couch to go walk two miles but that laziness is what got me into this  mess in the first place, so it's time to start battling it.

Eating wise I'm trying to really pay attention to when I'm hungy and when I'm not. Drinking more water (one of my goals from last week!) really helps with that. On the days I move less, I need to eat less, and vice versa. I'm struggling a bit as we face the end of our time here - I want to make sure we get our money's worth out of our groceries and don't have to leave anything behind. Instead of eating extra to get through it all, I'm looking at what we can take with us (since we aren't flying this time) and use on our Scotland trip or the next house sit. It's a challenge to meal plan the most efficient way possible, but it's kind of fun, too.

Speaking of our road trip, I'm hoping we stay on goals during that since we'll be moving more and not quite as steady as we have been. On the other hand, maybe mixing up our routine will be good for us. We'll see how it's going when I check in next week from somewhere in Scotland! (Steve is keeping it a surprise for us, we literally have no idea where we are going!)

XOXO, Bethany
