Losing the Weight, Finding Myself: Week 40

Weight: No access to a scale, last measured on 8/26 was 236.8

Measurements: Loss of 1.75  inches since last measurement, total loss of 14 inches since 9/23

When we were packing for this trip abroad we had a lot of choices to make about what clothes we were bringing with us, and what we were getting rid of. Despite space being precious, I chose to bring two pairs of pants that were too small for me at the time - a pair of khaki capris, and a pair of jeans. The khakis I chose because they were brand new with tags on and I couldn't bring myself to get rid of them. The jeans I chose because all of my other pairs were already too big and this was also a brand new pair I don't think I've ever worn. 

Huge non-scale victory this week - the khakis finally fit! It's driving me crazy that I don't have a scale to check in on, but this really lets me know I'm still heading in the right direction. I couldn't dream of getting this pair of pants up over my hips when we left, and this week they fit perfectly! I still have a ways to go on the jeans, and I am hoping to get into them soon as it's starting to get cold! I might end up picking up an inexpensive pair at a charity shop to tide me over. 

We are doing pretty well at keeping up with our October goals of 100 push-ups, 2 miles walking, and 20 minutes of yoga every day. That routine plus the intermittent fasting (only eating between the hours of 11A-7P) is what I credit with helping me make this weight loss progress! I think I'm well on my to being 199 or less by the end of the year and I can't wait till I finally get to step on a scale and see how much progress I've made. Until then I'll have to keep watching for progress in other ways!

I was hoping more inches would be gone this week, but we aren't exactly sure of what we are doing in that area (i.e. how to measure properly) so at least there is still a loss over all. I think 14 inches down in a month is a good change! I think from now on I'll only check in with those once a month rather than every other week. 

The progress I'm seeing is keeping me super motivated to keep going and end the year well. I can't wait to start 2019 feeling like a whole new person!
