Exercise has continued to go really well! I've been keeping up with a one minute plank and 100 push-ups (technically wall-ups for me until I get strong enough to do real ones) every single day. I am a bit behind on yoga but plan to catch up this week, and it will average out to 20 minutes a day. I am behind on walking only because the weather has been miserable this weekend! But again, I will catch up, and at the end of the month it will average out to 2 miles a day.
Today I am leaving on a small trip - I know, a vacation from my life that is basically a vacation! The local church here is taking a trip to Sidmouth in Devon, England, and they invited us to go along. We couldn't both go because of the cats (Hamish needs medicine every night) so I have to go without Joel (sad face), but I'm still excited! We leave today and come back Wednesday afternoon.
Traveling with a group will make some things a bit more challenging - I'm not sure if I'll be able to stick to intermittent fasting since meals are provided for us and on someone else's schedule. I will see what I can do. I should be able to keep up the exercising pretty easily though, we'll be in a new beautiful area with tons of places to walk and explore, and I'll have my own hotel room so I can keep up with yoga.
The schedule of the trip is pretty laid back with lots of down time built in, as well as lots of fellowship time, Bible study and prayer. Andy asked me last week if I would be willing to act as an extra pastor on the trip (there are 40 people going as opposed to 20 or so in past years) and of course I said yes!
It should be a fun trip and a good test of my commitment to sticking to this workout schedule without Joel around to help keep me on track!
