Well, this past week was an interesting one. On Monday some friends of ours broke up, so we spent time dealing with that crisis. On Tuesday we drove up to Rochester (about 3 hours away) to set up a pop-up shop for our LuLaRoe business. I left Joel there to work the store and got home late Tuesday night. On Wednesday I spent the day with my mom in Des Moines, which was lovely. On Thursday I meant to have a productive day around the house working on sorting through all of the stuff I own, deciding what I'm keeping storage and what I'm getting rid of as we prepare to travel. Instead I became so overwhelmed by what needed to get done I basically shut down and did nothing. On Friday I did a burial at the church I'm serving, then joined Joel back in Rochester. On Saturday I spent the day helping out at the mall, then returned to Iowa for church on Sunday morning, then back to Rochester, than we packed everything up and finally returned home.
Are you exhausted yet? Because I am, just writing about it. All in all it was a crazy week. I was all over the place, spent tons of time in the car, and ate out way more often than I usually do. This led to a lack of fruit and vegetables in my diet, and an overload on carbs. I am not surprised that the scale went up this week. I am disappointed, but not surprised. I also ate a lot of salt and I could feel my body retaining water and bloating.
So this week I find myself craving fresh food, vegetables, and getting back to eating well. As much as I love bad for me food like pizza, cheese stuffed pretzels, and McDonald's, I do feel physically worse when that is all I consume. I really feel the difference now when I feed my body good for me food, and I want to do more of that. Hopefully I can correct this gain fairly quickly, and get the scale moving in the right direction again!
XOXO, Bethany
