For church today I went back to my roots, to a local United Methodist Church. I'm enjoying hopping around to different places, but I've decided that the first of every month I will go to a UMC, as that is when most UMC's serve communion. Today I checked out the closest one to my house. The sanctuary was nice, I think it has been recently updated, and I loved the stone wall with the cross at the front.
The green glowing lights were really pretty, and I wonder if they change with the liturgical season. I'll have to go back another time to check that out! It was nice to take communion in a way more familiar to me, the sermon was engaging, and the people were friendly. And the best part? Done in just under an hour.
Gotta love the Methodists.
