Today was a super fun day! We spent the morning at home working on LuLaRoe stuff, and then we hit the road.
The first stop was Ames! We dropped off some LLR items for a customer, picked up some for me from a friend going out of business (a pink Amelia and a gorgeous elegant Carly!), traded some leggings, visited several friends, and got to talk to Fred, my former senior pastor when I worked in Ames. Several of our errands had us walking up and down Main Street, which was wonderful as it was another beautiful day.
I don't miss much about Ames, but I do love the public art they have displayed all over town. This one especially caught my eye today!
After Ames we headed down to Des Moines for an evening at the Funny Bone Comedy Club. They called Joel on Monday with an offer of free tickets! All three comedians were hilarious, the food was decent, and it was a fun excuse to dress up and have a date night in the middle of the week. It's times like these that I really appreciate our new work schedule - if we were both working full time at "real jobs" we never could have gone out on a Wednesday! This is the freedom that comes with working for yourself, and I LOVE it.
