Wear A Dress Tuesday

Submitted by Bethany on Tue, 01/03/2017 - 20:12

When I was in seminary many moons ago (graduated 2010), my friend Sarah Weaver invented a movement she called "Wear a Dress Tuesday".  I remember her saying something about Tuesday being the most neglected and forgotten about day of the week.  Everybody hates Monday.  Wednesday gets to be called hump day!  Thursday is practically the weekend then we all Thank God It's Friday.  But poor, lonely Tuesday gets ignored.

She decided that we should all start wearing dresses on Tuesdays to make it just a bit more special.  I have to say, I was skeptical at first, but when most of my girlfriends starting participating, it was a lot of fun!  After graduation, I tried to keep up the tradition for a while, but it eventually faded away.

Then I discovered LuLaRoe.  For the first time in half a decade I owned dresses I liked; not only that, for the first time in as long as I can remember, I owned dresses I LOVED and couldn't wait to wear!  So in my LuLaRoe VIP group, I decided to resurrect #WearADressTuesday, also known as #WADT.

One of my goals with LLR is to help women feel comfortable and beautiful in their own skin.  Wear a Dress Tuesday is a big part of that!

And no more can someone have the excuse to not buy a dress they love because they don't have anywhere or any reason to wear it.  I simply respond, yes you do.  It's called Tuesday, and wherever you go, whatever you are doing, you can wear a dress and be fabulous. Own it!
