My friend Mara recently started selling Perfectly Posh products, and I have started to get hooked.  My wish list was growing (while my budget was not) so Mara offered to throw me a party and I decided to host!  As a hostess, she sent me a ton of products to review.

The Fruits of our Labor

Today we looked outside our window and noticed that our garden is overflowing with raspberries!  Now, to be fair, we have planted nothing in this garden.  We inherited it from the previous owners of this house, and this year it is blessing us with all sorts of edibles!

How is it Sunday again, already!?  Seriously this month is flying by.  This morning I filled the pulpit at Eagle Grove UMC.  I have to admit, even after only a couple of weeks, I was missing preaching a little bit!  So it was nice to get to do so this morning, and I will next week as well.  The people were warm and kind and my sermon went over well.

The King of Tokyo

Today was a great day!  We trekked down to Ames for a LuLaRoe party, and then a grill out and game night with the Woerth's.  The party went well and the steak Brian made for dinner was amaaaazing.  Like, better than the last restaurant steak I had.  Yum.

After a game of Dominion, the littlest Woerth wanted us to play the King of Tokyo!  It was pretty fun, if only because I got to be a space penguin.

Beach Day Postponed

All I wanted to do today was go to the beach...but it was too cold!  That's right, on June 23rd it was too cold for the beach.  This made me sad, but it did help me get more work done on the business and at home.  However that made for a rather boring day, so no pictures were taken.

On the Road

These working from home days go fast!  I totally thought working from home would feel leisurely, with oodles of time to fit everything in.  Instead it feels like time is on fast forward.  I wake up, eat breakfast, work out, and it's time for lunch!  Get a few things done, and suddenly it's dinner time!

Today was an epic day.  Heather and Chris (and Ben!) came over for lunch and then we played games for 5 hours.  It was awesome!  In the midst of it I felt something touch my leg...I freaked out for a second, but then looked down to see this:

Peekaboo Ben

Too cute!

Wear A Dress Tuesday #23

Today I wore an outfit I've had sitting in my closet since, like February.  I'm still not super comfortable in the Cassie skirt, but I'm trying to build up my confidence to rock it.  The Perfect T helps to camouflage parts I don't like!

Also the superhero stance makes everything better!

First Day

June 19th, 2017

Today feels like the real first day working from home.  No kids visiting...no traveling to do, just working our business like a business!

We ran errands, prepped new inventory, did laundry, all sorts of fun things.

It was a gorgeous day, not hot, nice breeze, beautiful.  We went on a 3 mile walk this morning!

Then this evening we relaxed outside by the fire...with some Netflix, of course.  I mean, it is 2017.

I got to go to church today.  Just go.  Not lead, not be in charge, not be worried about all the details.  I got to just be, listen, attend.  I went to the Presbyterian Church in town, I was in the mood to try something different.  The sanctuary was beautiful, and while the details of the service were a little different than I am used to, it was mostly familiar.
